What I do at Juniper Tree Therapy

I started with Juniper Tree in December 2024 after working within a physical healthcare setting. I work within Specialist Education Needs schools providing Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions which aim to enhance and improve an individual’s function and engagement in activities that are meaningful to them. I use a sensory-informed approach to support people with sensory processing difficulties that are impacting on their wellbeing and ability to participate in activities which are important to them.

About me

I have always had an interest in working with children and young people.
Whilst completing my Occupational Therapy degree I volunteered on a care farm
supporting young people with learning disabilities to participate and contribute
towards the running of the farm. I have also volunteered with charities supporting
vulnerable families in Leeds and providing mental health support to those in crisis.
I enjoy problem-solving and finding creative ways of working to help support the
people I am working with.

Training

I am currently advancing through my Sensory Integration training and sensory-based approaches. I have completed the Sensory Attachment Intervention Foundation module, and the Child Attachment and Play Assessment (CAPA).
